Global Studies Knowledge Community - Our History

This knowledge community brings together an annual conference, a scholarly journal, a book series and an online community. The Global Studies conference is held annually in different locations around the world, each selected for its particular place in the dynamics of globalization. The inaugural conference was held at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2008; the second conference was held at Zayed University, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2009; the third conference was held at Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea, in 2010; the fourth conference was held in Rio de Janeiro in 2011 and the fifth conference was held in 2012 at Moscow State University, Russia. 

With some 250 articles already published, the companion Global Studies Journal has is fast becoming a comprehensive, cutting edge resource on the changing dynamics of globalization.
